Emmy Nominations
Director James Cameron took the helm for the documetary Bismarck for the Discovery Channel, which became its most successful and highest-rated program to date. Their team was the first to explore the wreck of the "unsinkable" WWII German battleship, lying off the coast of Ireland under three miles of water. Audio facility Juniper Post, comprised of Scientologists (pictured above r to l) Ben Zarai, David Kitchens and Eric Reuvini, was nominated for two Emmys for their work on the project, Outstanding Sound Editing - Nonfiction and Outstanding Sound Mixing - Nonfiction.
Voice-over artist Nancy Cartwright is on two shows which received Emmy nominations, including FOX's The Simpsons for Outstanding Animated Program (For Programming Less Than One Hour) and Disney's Kim Possible for the same award.
Actor John Travolta was the subject of a 2-hour Biography on A&E. The show earned the highest ratings for a Biography and was nominated for an Emmy in Outstanding Nonfiction Series (Traditional). Actress Juliette Lewis was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie with Hysterical Blindness. Erika Christensen
Actress Erika Christensen starred in Home Room with Busy Philipps, with whom she forms an awkward friendship in the aftermath of a school shooting. Home Room toured the film festival circuit with critical acclaim and is now being released in theatres in New York, Los Angeles and Denver.
