Applied Scholastics Spanish Lake Grand Opening
Tom Cruise, Jenna Elfman, Anne Archer and Isaac Hayes recently
assisted U.S. Congressman Lacey Clay and Applied Scholastics International
CEO Bennetta Slaughter cut the grand opening ribbon for the new international
headquarters and campus of Applied Scholastics. More than 2,000 guests attended
Applied Scholastics is an international education organization that licenses private schools, community literacy centers and tutors utilizing the teaching and learning methods — called Study Technology — of L. Ron Hubbard.
At the new campus, Applied Scholastics will be training teachers, corporate trainers, mentors, tutors and education consultants with Mr. Hubbard's unique and precise system of learning any subject. These services, which are designed to supplement existing educational training, include workshops and courses ranging from educational basics to advanced teaching strategies and methodologies. Several of the courses offer continuing education or postgraduate credits. Jim Meskimen

Billy Sheehan
Rock bassist Billy Sheehan is currently on tour in the yearly G3 tour, featuring three legendary rock guitarists: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. The tour will cover most of the U.S. and features each guitarist with their band separately, then a jam session with all three guitarists. Billy is playing bass with Steve Vai. |
